I had just paid in full for a brand new 2011 Toyota Tacoma. Before driving it off the lot I had to have proof of insurance on the vehicle.

So I went to farmers, my moms insurance carrier, and got myself on my own policy. The insurance agent, an ***hole named Charles platt, suggested I go through Bristol west rather than farmers because I was young and it was the same coverage but cheaper. For 6 months, I paid $1308.90. I had given them a check for that exact amount and asked if there was anything else that I needed to pay.

My agent said I had taken care of everything. So off I went to pick up my brand new truck. Two weeks later, I get a bill from them saying that I now owed them $1600 on top of a $22 NSF fee. When I called they told me the check had bounced.

And I told the lady they were all absolutely CRAZY considering the account had thousands in it. After me forking out more money and becoming extremely stressed, I finally had insurance again. Basically, they cancelled my insurance and raised the payment on top of an NSF fee. I paid everything in full.

And right before my policy was up and I thought everything was over, they sent me a bill for $182 saying that they were canceling my policy early unless I paid it. Turns out I was supposed to fill out a mileage survey? Hm.

Would've been nice to know. Bristol west and farmers can kiss my ***.

Monetary Loss: $500.
